We're proud to be scouts.

We meet on Mondays at the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty, starting promptly at 7:00pm. We go camping at least once a month.

Our scoutmaster is Paul, "Gator" Crooks. He has been the scoutmaster since 1994. Under his leadership the troop has grown and the number of Eagle Scouts has increased rapidly.

We are Eagle Scouts.

We are camping. Boy Scouts is designed to take place outdoors. We have camped in downpours, in a foot of snow and in blistering heat. If you ask any of our scouts which campouts they remember most, it's the foot of snow or the blistering heat.

We are activty. Troop 374 is a very active troop. Weekly meetings are packed full of fun events.
"First years" can be seen working on tenderfoot to first class ranks, learning both scouting and life skills. Second years and older work on their star and life ranks, merit badges, and other more advanced skills. The oldest scouts can be seen working on Eagle or assisting the younger scouts. The meetings are full of variety with a meeting in January being different from one in May.

We are service. Service projects include activities such as gathering food for a local food bank, placing flags on veterans graves on Memorial Day or helping pickup trash around the city. Eagle Projects happen all the time. These cover the whole range of projects from Landscaping, clothing drives, or community awareness programs to carpentry and concrete work. All scouts are welcome to assist in these projects, and receive service hours for advancement in turn. The annual Scout Sunday is attended by the troop with scouts putting on the service for the whole congregation to thank the church for their support.

We are thrifty.
We have fund raisers year round that are also fun for the scouts. A pancake breakfast is held in the fall, the weekend of the Liberty Fall Festival. In the winter we have Wreath and Christmas Tree Sales. The tree stand is staffed by all scouts Life and down, giving a perk to our Eagle Scouts. In the spring we hold a Spaghetti Dinner which is very popular for our attendees, growing rapidly in recent years. At all of these events the scouts run the event, adults are there to provide support.
